Sugar, lemons and everything nice

If you hadn't notice yet, our climate's been changing drastically from hot to extremely hot to wet but still hot. Thus, the effect cause on us would be of various diseases and sore throat. Funny thing is that when i approach a sunny side area, i'd sneeze my nose off. I must say my nasal is quite sensitive. Hence, when life gives you lemons.. don't waste it and make some lemonade!

But to make a lemonade stall in your neighbourhood, especially in Malaysia, i'd say that be impossible. Or you risk your life serving fresh iced lemonade to a man with a penetrable sock over his head. Naw, we don't want that!

Thus, on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, i woke up with this brilliant idea to make my own lemonade. You know, a homemade lemonade. But with the help of a few sites, obviously. :)

And voila! (i do not have a deformed hand! oh and ze deathly hallows symbol!)
Zesty, yummy, sour-y, yellowy, FRESH Lemonade! 50 pence! Cheap cheap mai mai :D

(Makes about eight glass)

1 cup o' sugar
3 cups o' water
Lots o' lemon zest

After heating the water in a large sauce pan or any of your desire, add the sugar until dissolve. Stir in lemon zest. Remove from heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Then, add 1 cup o' lemon juice (approx. 6 lemons). Pour it in a large pitcher and add water. Cool it in the refrigerator and garnish your lemonade with 1/4 chopped mint leaves and fresh lemon slices. serve over ice. :)

It's a long process this one. And i made some improvisation as for the ingredients. Instead of white sugar, i used brown which is a lot less fattening and healthier. Also, I add a little pandan leaves for more taste! :) I smell like lemon now. Oh! Maybe i should create a lemon perfume! It'll be like a lemon air freshener but in eau de toilette! :D

  1. cool! might try it out one day now that it's the fasting month.
and yeah, ur right, not a really good idea to set up a lemonade stall here in Malaysia, leaving kids to run it. the next thing you know, the kids might 'disappear' *puff* without a trace.
anyway, have a good weekend! ;)
