But the picture is cute isn't it? I can't believe we're not having a public holiday for Halloween. :(
Now's time for,
We'll be having grandma caddell's hot cakes, sinfully scrumptious chocolate chip cookies and wicked chicken sandwich!
Ji and i had a great time producing these magnificent orgasmic food. And for the love of sandwiches, ohhhh.
Because we were so afraid to fry a piece of chicken, well, maybe it's me cause i am really scared of the oil that often escapes and endanger my hand. We decided to buy it from this Taiwanese stall in Parade, selling the best oyster Mi Sua and XXL chicken at an affordable and worthy rate.
Look at the size of it! The title does not bring justice to it. It is bigger than my hand! Not to mention, extremely hot too cause it was deep fried before the sprinkling of some spice. And the cashier cum chicken deep fryer handed the chicken to me without any plastic. He must have thought i have strong inflammable hands.
Went back home feeling content cause i requested for a plastic and ignored the look of that guy's expressionless face. Prepared the ingredients that compromises of many greens and reds. Lettuce and a load of grape-cherry tomatoes.
I never liked the crust. It tasted a little bitter to my liking. But what's a good sandwich without the combination of Mayonnaise and Thai Chilli Sauce? Heaven i tell you.
After a satisfying lunch, we decided to digest our meal by walking to two different locations to buy the ingredients for our bakes of the day. Cold Storage is inefficient in terms of labor and the limited choices of things sold. So we bought the dairy products there and headed to Jaya Grocer for the other ingredients.
Two tubs of chocolate chips, general flour, vanilla extract, m&ms', brown sugar and cinnamon powder. Diabetics.
So Ji proceeded with the making of the hotcakes, a little similar to pancakes. The first few attempts were a failure but after that it was all good and yummy too.
Ji handling it like a pro.
Fresh from the oven. The amount of hotcakes.
The last bit of batter were mixed with m&ms' and it was surprisingly delicious.
As for my sinfully scrumptious chocolate chip cookies, i used up the two tubs of chocolate chips so it kinda empowers the taste of the whole dough.
Though, it was addictive cause Ji kept on scooping it with her finger and lick it like no one's business.
The amount of cookies made were tremendous. Just a little note, all white sugar is replaced by brown sugar. So it isn't exactly unhealthy. But the health part may slightly be affected with the tonnes of chocolate chips. Oh wells!
For Grandma Caddell's Hotcakes recipe, click here. And as for mine, well you can totally google it - Easiest chocolate chip cookie. Then mix your own extra ingredients.
We wanted to make Mint chocolate chip cookies but there were no mint chips nor affordable mint extract. Next time, i promise.
P/s: Sorry for the late update of this post. The internet line was a bummer.
