The usual costly New Year fireworks display. Costing a big sum of money from private companies, that lead to the increase price of daily needs and wants. Economic crisis you say? I say that's bull. Blame men. For the greed of power and status, one compete the others in order to be the best among the rest. Causing the loss of humanity in them. These power hungry men think none other than themselves.
I say even a mineral water bottle cost more than it should be. What about those from the third world countries? Or those who have to work hard in tin mines? Can they afford to have the main toxic that is needed in our bodies? Really, this is really getting off-guard. A pack of the typical pandan leaf rice with nuts, anchovies, spicy sambal and a quarter half of an egg which we call as Nasi Lemak is really too much of a price to pay for. I could buy 5 packs of them for a buck during the old days.
& because of this, some had to risk their lives to earn 'easy' money by thieving and robbing in order to lay food on the table for their family. Not to mention, those who are crippled had to beg in the daily wet markets (for eg). It's not that they aren't capable of working, they were let down by numerous companies due to the lack of education. They had to work and drop out from school since young in order to find money for their families. Deforms were persuaded and hired by illegal employers to beg on the streets. Hence, it's partly not their fault. Blame men again.
Apart from that, yes this sounds like i'm writing an essay but whatever. I'm only doing this for the sake of New Year's. I have to agree with science. I have this feeling that 2012 will be the end of our lives. I even checked one of the websites in the internet that predicted my death as on 21st May 2012. Creepy, no? If you rewind back all the catastrophes that happen throughout all these years ; the earth-quakes, giant tsunamis, worst-case warming scenarios, thinning of the ozone layer, the north pole melts and etcetera. All these 'Save-the-world' campaigns does not bring a stop or any changes towards the life we have all been yearning for. But sadly, there's nothing we can do about it. Use paper bags instead of plastics? Loggings and deforestation should be held continuously?
At the end of the day, none can actually tell what's to happen next. I have no idea what to do, but to live life the fullest while it lasts. Anyhow, i feel pretty content with my life at this mo'
Btw, i've made no New Year resolutions for this year, and perhaps the following years as well. Except for a few crucial goals that i have got to accomplish.
Forgive me if this post sounded depressing, must as well you just exit this page.
