"Besides, whatelse are you going to do on a perfectly sunny Saturday morning?"

It was a nice day - precisely the kind of nice that made you feel lonely if you didn't have anything fun and outdoorsy planned.

Fallen, Lauren Kate

I accidentally broke one of it's spooky arm. Other than that, it was good.

Maybe these maps and legends have been misunderstood.

So my friends bailed out on me today. This means no pasta, also cause i am just lazy to clean up the mess i would most probably make in my tiny-no-space-for-fat-people kitchen. Okay scratch the third last word.

I woke up in the wee hours of the morning to find my mother already out of the house leaving some left-over on my table top. Feeling a little light-headed, i went back to slumber. Woke up reluctantly after what felt like a minute of sleep to answer nature's calling.

I feel the need to have a hot bath and a massage therapy to rejuvenate all my energy loss from the ache in my stomach that is happening consecutively by day. Bummer that is.

Later today, I made an impromptu decision to try out a new cafe called the Vanilla place opposite Toys 'r' us in Empire around noon after memorizing a list of Moral nilais. And i solemnly regret stepping out of the house. Why?
  1. i had to walk under the scorching sun
  2. lorry drivers were getting on my nerve as they kept on whistling to attract my attention
  3. the Vanilla cafe serves real expensive food.
I have humiliating pair of thighs. I wanna do a lipo and suck all the lipids out of my cellulites. The oversize black shirt i got for rm25 is definitely a steal. Accessorized it with a black ribbon and i had my denim cotton on shorts hidden beneath the shirt.

Looks are certainly deceiving. Bottled water for rm3.80? Come on. Their desserts are all above rm6. Meringue for a rate like that? Totally not worth it.

Their service was so slow and i didn't wanna miss the daily series of Ugly Betty so i had my kiddy pizza packed. I spent a total of rm13 for the unappetizing pizza and bottled water. I vow not to go back there again. Unless i have to go back there to company some bunch of people.

Also, something groundbreaking is heading your way. Art requires a lot of patience. If only i have the will to be patient when it comes to solving mathematic equations.

Evening subtlety

The sky looked amazingly beautiful this evening. It was breath-taking and it lasted for a short while this one. God must be extra happy today.

I feel content. ;
I just downloaded numerous e-books by Sophie Kinsella,
I am finishing a project that is due soon (got really inspired by some French song),
Watching and re-watching Amelie for the umpteenth time,
Daniel and Molly was so lovey dovey in today's episode of Ugly Betty,
School was a little productive,
I have amazing friends in school.

Making pasta tomorrow using Angel's hair. At times like this, how i wish i could have fettuccine instead.

Mommy's going for a yoga retreat in Terangganu tomorrow. I can see she's pretty hyped up. She started packing last Monday.

“soon the morning will arrive
can i begin another day
whilst this old day is still alive
refusing to be put away”

Part of your world.

The colouring book complete with a set of vibrant coloured lightning bolts of crayons brightens up my day just by the sight of it. I have Mariam Baharudin to thank for. Such a sweet girl of the age sixteen. Amazingly bright and roving, also a big fan of the fictional character and oh my god, YODA. These people are the ones worthy of all your confidence in knowing there are good and genuine people out there.

She did mention about getting me one of this and i thought it was just a friendly gesture but little did i know, she completely shocked me. So, Mariam, if you're reading this, thanks a gazillion times over! I am ecstatic. Until now. So surreal. :)

In a complete different note, the pads on the bridge of the nose of my spectacles got detached. Barely a year and i am in the verge of destroying my expensive pretty glasses. I am contemplating whether i should wear contacts after the major examination, but rumours said it to be a little dangerous and if it is not worn properly, it will cause major effect on my eyes. *gasp

Anyho, my uncle Phillip had a post-belated birthday celebration last Sunday in a steamboat restaurant off Sunway Mentari. Yuen's Steamboat has got the best chicken wings/ drumsticks ever. As quoted by numerous people there. I was intrigued by the crowd at one corner only to be amazed by the quick grab of plates and plates after serving and serving of it.

To witness all that, those chicken parts must be one deadly sin of a food.

I am easily amused over little petty things. I was playing with my father's slr and boy, how i wish i could own one. *sniffs. After the sumptuous meal of raw refrigerated food dipped into hot Tom Yam soup, we headed to my dearest uncle's at Ara Damansara in which he had just moved in a couple of months ago. I like that area. It felt rich in wealth. And a balinese too.

Don't you feel happy listening to Disney soundtracks? My faves are from Hercules. And most recent, Princess and the Frog.

I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see, wanna see them dancin'
Walking around on those - what do you call 'em?
Oh - feet!

Flippin' your fins, you don't get too far
Legs are required for jumping, dancing
Strolling along down a - what's that word again?
Street

Up where they walk, up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin' free - wish I could be
Part of that world

Emma Watson fan.

The Hogwarts castle drawn by an aspiring architect and a friend who has a passion for all things Harry Potter thanks to me, perhaps? As much as i would love to flatter myself, i think being modest would be far more appropriate. Darn. I am intimidated.

A mapped drawing of Hogwarts, drawn by scratch and a lot of thumbs on this one. This guy has been a friend since form one and a good guy he is. Smart and full of wit, he's Jezreel K. Also known as Jezebel, Jezzy, Jez, J and et cetera in convenience to his friends. A huge fan of Emma Watson, a strong believer, he's short and he has a hilarious hairstyle.

Yep, that's my friend.
Visit his design blog and you'll be amazed by his artworks at www.jezreelkang.blogspot.com

He's worth the visit.

Tid bits.

This makes me wanna make apples dipped into caramel top with colourful bright candies.

I shouldn't be blogging at this time of the day. SPM is drawing nearer by day and i'm freaking out. But i could not bring myself to study as how i promised myself 8 months ago. I must say the drills that is ongoing in school for the form fives does help me a little.

I felt a pang of regret not attending school today. The fact that my Malay language is moderate and it varies (sometimes i do good in papers, sometimes not) makes me feel a little concerned.

I just noticed whenever i get nervous, i would bit my lip and roll my eyes and sometimes, sometimes i'd bite my fingernails. Yes, i'm aware that is gross disgusting filthy whatever you call it, but that's how i roll.

A little picture i stumbled into this morning. :)

And i would love to have a collection of these on my wall.

Mmmm, i smell of chamomile tea calling upon me. And some crisp orange cookies. Luxury, in it's simplicity.

Bits of yesterday and today.

I'm so hyped up over the upcoming Halloween though it isn't a holiday in Malaysia and there are no such tradition of trick or treating. Bummer that is. I had an impromptu one with IreneCheen the last halloween and it was a failure. I ended up cutting two holes on an old rug or towel and literally ran the whole neighbourhood of USJ14 knocking on the neighbour's gates. :(

Stumbled onto this do-it-yourself Kid's Bat Costume at AlphaMom and it's so adorable. If i were to wear that in Malaysia, i'd be drenched in sweat and boy, won't that be a bummer?

On friday, i went for a dip into the pool with this bunch and find myself in lust over this little toy of a baby in Toys 'R' us. Amazing how 'lively' children's toys can be. The idea of the sudden making of noise from the baby in the middle of the night freaks me out. It reminds me of Child Play, the infamous Chucky.

Also, i am anticipating to watch this. It may or may not be boring, but the animation is deeply astounding. My Dog Tulip is about the distinguished British man of letters, Ackerley hardly thought of himself as a dog lover when, well into middle age, he came to adopt Tulip – a beautiful, yet intolerable 18–month–old German shepherd. To his surprise, she turned out to be the love of his life, the “ideal friend” he had been searching for in vain for so many years. In vivid and sometimes startling detail, the film reveals Tulip’s sassy, often erratic behavior (and very canine tastes) and Ackerley’s fumbling but determined efforts to ensure an existence of perfect happiness for her.

Amazing how the unexpected reveals itself in such a way. Indeed, God works in mysterious ways.
I have the intuition to go for a campnic (a name i invented for a combination of both camp and picnic). But considering the hot climate and the many cases that made headlines in newspapers daily, i can only utter a sigh. I like how the woman in the picture wears a cheongsam in a campnic with a red indian-look-alike tent.

Today was a tiring yet fun day. I became a personal fashion advisor to Nandini and had a great night out with the church gang. Justin was generous and treated Joyce and I itallianies which was superb!

The pecan flavoured cinnamon Ji ordered because she wanted bread and something sweet, such odd combination. But in terms of food, you can get all sorts. Then she had another craving for something spicy and salty so we had McShaker fries with loads of pepper and chilli, i had them dipped into my vanilla ice-cream. Yummeh.

Before heading home, Nan and i craved for something frothy and we had loads of time to kill as it was jam at the highway where her mother got stucked at, hence, Nan treated me for some Mocha Frappuchino and we devoured into some whip cream!

It was still drizzling when i got back and i was soaked up a little. My influenza came back and both my hands and feet were ice cold. I was a little tired but i took an impromptu decision to attend the Jazz Festival held at Empire.

Here i am at Italiannies with Justin (he's not usually that fat) and Joyce (Justin was big and he covered Joyce, poor girl). We had oglio olio and shrimp bolognese with awesome Italian breads served for the appetizer. In which they served shrimps that has got to be the best shrimps i have ever tasted my whole entire life! I've eaten like 6. It was both crunchy (as how Justin would describe it) and juicy. They were magnifico!

The green helium balloon i took back home like a little child.

Some cuppachino ice-cream cake, oreo based that was hard as rock. I got bored of it after around 6 bites? If you look carefully, Justin's shirt has an ilama! And an ostrich.

Atilia ended my night perfectly. She performed numerous songs that were fantastic. I'm so going for the last day of the event tomorrow and get my hands on some goodies!

Ten Rules for being Human

by Cherie Carter-Scott

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, “life.”

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately “work.”

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you’re alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.

6. “There” is no better a place than “here.” When your “there” has become a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here.”

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life’s questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. You will forget all this.

I'm starving and my house is never scarce of food. Eating a continuous handful amount of Cheerios because they're so addictive and yummy and less fattening.

I have a sudden crave for strawberries in Lindt melted mint chocolate and some icing powder sprinkled on top.

But you know, the effect will be that of a mushroom top and layers of flabs.

Fail.

I want a 3D specs and pretend i'm stoned.

Plaid and braid

I was ditched by my schoolmates in school today. They preferred the comfort given at home. I was told that one of them will come for we had add maths and economics. We were given the State paper for the drills. And they were tough but left untouchable. I was more interested in reading Sophie Kinsella's chick lit instead. Thank God for Tan Yee Leng. The aspiring author.

I've lost my blogging mojo again. Which happens quite frequently. Pondering whether i should close the blog. But i guess not, i need Nuffnang and the benefits given. Oh, and you readers too.

After an unproductive day in school, followed Justin Low to Ikea Damansara for some yums of Swedish meatballs and Daim Cake. It has been such a while since i last step foot in Ikea and boy do i love the atmosphere. The smell of wood and furniture is overwhelming and very Swedish. This beats Home Depot anytime.

Justin Low had 15 meatballs of which i stole a couple and some french fries. Also, in which he has proven my weakness in mathematics. *slaps forehead

The Daim Cake he got for me which was scrumptious and heavenly. I was craving for a second plate, but it'd be a continuous act and have him broke and penniless.

I swear he got a little annoyed by my razor mouth that wouldn't stop. Gasps of astonishment, excitement and i almost hyperventilated. I was literally acting like a 9-year-old. I must have bore him or we wouldn't have left early. :(

The measurement table in the cloth and fabric area. To measure the customer's desired length and snip the extras, and also a very nice spot to rest your head after a momentary walk.

*awkward (times aplenty)

Poor Justin, i could really see he was a little weary and tired. Though the day there made me a satisfied happy little girl. Thanks Justin Low for the treat and the ride and your patience! And yes, the soft toys there are a little eccentric and not pleasant looking but they're soft and likable! In the end, that's all that matters. :)

Oh p/s: My school's canteen walk way caught a little fire due to the short circuit in the fuse box and i was affected by the heat of the scorching sun as the fan was out. My bm teacher was adamant to stay in class and she didn't bother about the fire. Many salutations to her. Hafiz who transported the news to us in a way that was too dramatic and Transformer-like literally shouted "This is.." and before he even finished the sentence as he was gasping for air, one of my classmates said "Sparta". It was funny in a way.

If this ain't geek enough.

I want to work. Badly. I want to earn a paycheck of a thousand or so. With that money, i can buy an iphone and accessorize it with cool iphone stickers and cases as shown below.

Nintendo NES Controller iPhone 4 sticker by shortsleevealliance

Orange Cassette Tape iPhone Case from Crankcases

Or what about a touch of nostalgic, cutting edge slrs' ain't cool enough for you?

Leica M8 iPhone 3G/3Gs skin, shuffleart

Rolleicord Medium Format Camera - iPhone 3G / 3GS Skin
Oh lust.

Went for an impromptu handphone hunt in parade earlier with Ji and co. We had pizzas after a talk on the subject of history and it was a productive one. Made multiple stars using glossy papers. I had never laughed as much as today to the extent where i can even hurt my hand. I was illustrating something using gestures with my hand and accidentally knocked the wall, hard and with a loud thump. :( If you're asking out of sympathy or mere manners, my left hand is doing fine and there ain't any bruise. I was just exaggerating a little, for theatrical purposes.

Mum made some chocolate goodness and i ate all of them straight out of the container and i'm not afraid to admit, because of the rich flavor and my love of chocolate, i literally licked the whole container.

Yes, i am satisfied.

Children, not as innocent as you think they are.

Nevertheless, cute enough to compensate all the trouble they have caused.

Indeed, a wicked fool says to himself "There is no God". Psalm 14:1

Uncle Joshua is a bully. We were reading David and Goliath earlier and there was a question by an illustrated bird about bullying. I don't think it's by coincidence. *sticks gene simmons tongue out

I had a feast of good food today, though i was conned by the chicken rice seller during lunch. He charged me a whopping rm4 for a small plate of rice with less than 5 pieces of chicken slices on top without the usual given soup. But i'm not complaining any further cause it was still edible and nice too. Also a little bias since i love chicken rice, especially the ones avail in major chinese hawker stores with gung ho chinese names like Gembira and Fatt Kee or something like that. I prefer them over western's cause well i'm a chinese and secondly, their chicken are much more tender and tangy in comparison to the other. The gravy or sauce used are also the main reason for my choosing.

For dinner, had a little balinese in Ole-ole Bali. Had a kid's meal of fish fingers which was by the way, dory fish and i love dory fish in spite of their recognition as a short term memory lost fish as seen in Pixar's Finding Nemo. The food wasn't exactly counted as balinese, but the atmosphere does it justice.

Had a short meeting in Auntie Lilian's house (my church pastor who does catering service, a great chef, an exuberant pastor also a full time mother to four grown children and with a marketing job experience, she knows how to handle everything from letter typing to organizing events to child caring and to spreading the gospel). As Joshua (her son) would say it, she's an all rounder and a handy (wo)man.

McDonald's for supper and i really want to thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to have a family like them by my side. I am eternally grateful.

Oh no, no food for me tomorrow. :(

Nuffnang Gplus

I'm sure many of you bloggers out there who are also a member of Nuffnang (why wouldn't anyone be? you can get exclusive invites to movie premieres and whatnot) would know of the Glitterati+ Open meeting that was held at Taylors Lakeside Campus today. For more details of it, click.
Initially it was to start at 10 a.m. sharp. But being Malaysian, where we are best known for our bad sense of timing, it started off half an hour late. An introductory video was played two times to entertain the bloggers who were there early or in time, like me. Speaking of which, i am dreadfully tired now as i slept quite late yesterday (if you count 12:30a.m. late) and woke up at 07:30a.m. on a Saturday morning for breakfast and an argument i did not see coming.

I reached Taylor's at 9a.m. with a nose runnin' like a water tap. Loitered around the school's compound like a foreigner in a historical place. The new block, though still under construction, has a few cafes open for business already. So commercialized. Only thing missing is a KFC restaurant.

It was a sunny Saturday morning, and before i knew it, i was sweating cats and dogs. Yeah, that can be applied to my state considering how thin the ozone layer has become. All these campaigns for a greener earth and whatnot has changed nothing.

The hall we used were as rumours said it, the best hall cause of the view of the man-made lake.

Opening speech made by Timothy Tiah or Teah something like that. Cannot keep still. Always walk to and fro the corners of the stage. :(

Met Timothy (the co-founder of Nuffnang or the founder, either way) and his girlfriend (a darn awesome blogger i admire lots) Audrey of fourfeetnine. Also blogger Avelynn and the president of the Glitterati+, the man behind tehtarikmemoirs whom i have forgotten his name.

With Tim. Ideal boss.

With Audrey. (Take note that she isn't exactly short. I was at the upper stairs)
Censored my eyes cause they look freaky. Also, they both are together for two years now. :)

All in all, it was good. Learnt lots o' things behind the Nuffnang Community. Asked a question which made me felt like a fool. But it lasted only for a brief period. Cause Tim approached me and asked whether i was offended and shook my hand. Who does that anyway?!

I have a very bad memory and forgive me if i'm wrong but everyone is welcomed to join Glitterati plus but there are a few criteria that one must do in order to become a member. For more details, visit Nuffnang.com. I'm obviously not your reliable informant of anything.

Refreshments were served. The cream puffs were a tad sweet but good too.

The meeting ended 2 hours earlier. And most of the attendees were older than me so the age gap kinda makes it hard for me to socialize and mix around with other bloggers. :( And some went in packs. Double sigh.

Hence, i decided to kill my time in the library. And the library was exceptionally quiet. Unlike my school's. :(

Spotted! What's lacking are the Goblet of Fire and the Deathly Hallows.

This is a fantastic book. 'nuff said.

Lovers inscribed their love on the book.

Then after an hour or so, with songs by Adele and Sia, i almost fell asleep. The atmosphere of the library was so convincing to sleep. My stomach growled so loud it could almost be heard by the whole library, i swear the bookshelves shook.

I kid.

So i headed out to take a little breather. With the wind slapping my face and my laze to walk all the way to the other block for food under the shade, i persuaded myself to walk under the scorching sun as a shortcut but i had to go through a maze-like concrete and grass thing. As a nature lover (-not), i dared not step on the grass so i had to jump to the concrete part of the walk-way and that just adds to my excessive sweating.

It was all worth it though. Walked into Bread Story and i was immediately swarmed by the smell of fresh baked croissants. But i was tempted to try the Eskimo Custard bread.

And boy does it taste so good! I swear i'd go there again to buy more of em! The price was dirt cheap, i'd be a fool not to buy.

I look like a chubby kid here. The wind was unbearable. Here i sat at the gazebo overlooking the lake which was said to inhabit a crocodile.

After what seemed like a day well spent in Taylors, went for lunch with Justin and came home to my dismay for what happened next is another story to unfold.
